Merck Foundation CEO Senator Dr Rasha Kelej shines.

One of the most influential women in Africa Senator Dr Rasha Kelej ,Merck Foundation CEO has been awarded for her efforts in spearheading the foundation's healthcare ,women and girls empowerment programs by the Business Executive Group, a Pan African media firm.

Receiving the award Senator Dr Kelej said The Global She Achievers Award 2024 is an acknowledgement of the foundation's efforts for the past 12 years in empowering women in Science,Technology ,Engineering and Mathematics (STEM),supporting the girl child education and transforming public healthcare in Africa and beyond.

"This is a great honour to be recognised for our efforts for the past 12 years and l extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Business Executive Group team "said Dr Kelej

She said the award is a motivation for her to continue working towards improving the lives of people from disadvantaged communities in the African continent and beyond.

"It gives me immense pleasure to witness that together with Africa's First Ladies ,Ministries of Health, Gender,Education and Communication,we are impacting the lives of people in the most disadvantaged communities in the continent and beyond" added Senator Kelej.

Senator,Dr Kelej has been successfully leading the Merck Foundation programs for the past 12 years and works closely with more than 24 Africa's First Ladies as Ambassadors of the Foundation and Ministries of Health, Gender, Education,Communication,Academia,Media and Art Societies in 50 countries.
