MERCK FOUNDATION REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO TRAINING OF HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS

Merck Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to training of healthcare providers and building professional healthcare capacity with the aim of providing access to equitable and quality healthcare in Africa.

The Foundation's CEO Senator Dr Rasha Kelej said their goal is to improve the overall health and well-being of people by building healthcare capacity across Africa ,Asia and other developing countries.

"We are strongly committed to transforming patient care landscape through our scholarship program in various medical specialties "said Dr Kelej.

She added that they are also calling for applications for 2024 scholarships for young doctors with special focus on female doctors for their online one -year Diploma and two -year Master degree programs that includes online Diploma, on-site fellowship and clinical training programs in 44 critical medical specialties .

Dr Kelej added that Merck Foundation every single day marks World Health Day through building healthcare capacity and transforming patient care across Africa,Asia and beyond


Merck Foundation together with African First Ladies have marked the 2024 World Health Day having awarded 1740 scholarships to doctors from 52 countries .
